Geographical Association - www.geography.org.uk This is a pretty newsy kind of info-site for teachers and geography departments. There is a resources section with information on how to get resources on the current major topics, and also give information about research projects from small scale to national curriculum basis. There is also a Projects section containing information about geography projects and case studies of geography departments setting up their own websites. The Whats New Section is fairly up to date with news and resources and also tells you about current events.
British Society for Research into Learning Mathematics (BSRLM) – www.brslm.org.uk A national organisation for all those people interested in research into mathematics education. Information is given about their conferences and about their working groups.
CILT – National Centre for Languages- www.cilt.org.uk Website covering education and training from early years to learning in the workplace for teachers, and learners of all ages. There is a research resources page and access to the active Library service which can be searched through the on-line catalogue. There are also online helpsheets and FAQs. The Centre also provides translation services and the BLIS portal gives access to thousands of Language courses.
